Real mimosa leaf earrings.
The shape of these brass pieces brought on thoughts of waves, ripples, bends, curves but the hourglass seemed to fit best which is why this design is called ๐˜›๐˜ช๐˜ฎ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฌ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฑ๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ.

โ€œTry to imagine a life without timekeeping. You probably canโ€™t. You know the month, the year, the day of the week. There is a clock on your wall or the dashboard of your car. You have a schedule, a calendar, a time for dinner, or a movie. Yet all around you, timekeeping is ignored. Birds are not late. A dog does not check its watch. Deer do not fret over passing birthdays. Man alone measures time. Man alone chimes the hour. And, because of this, man alone suffers a paralyzing fear that no other creature endures. A fear of time running out.โ€
- Mitch Albom, The Time Keeper

For the most part, I live a fairly disconnected life where I shift to living in and outside our time construct, but of course, like the rest of us, I'm still subjected to time.
When thinking of time I'm almost always pulled right to the thought of " there isn't enough time in the day." But honestly, that isn't truly the way I feel, just happens to be that there are enough people saying it, and thinking it, I'm always brought there.
Time is a gift, if we truly are infinite or timeless outside of all of this, then you'd think we'd be grateful to be going through the motions of every single thing we do right?

Saw these leaves one afternoon while looking out my office window, hanging over the fence waving at me, in my backyard. For many days these leaves would catch my eyes through the window throughout the days until I went out to see them.
Never depleting a plant fully, I gathered a handful of these greens and pressed them in one of my books.
I'd never noticed this plant before but from doing some research I've learned that these are Mimosa leaves. When you touch them they close to protect their pollen and reduce water loss. So trying to flatten them can be a bit tricky.
